Yeah, this not SpongeBob related but March Madness is my favorite time of the year. All sorts of upsets in college basketball are bound to happen every year.

In honor of March Madness, I have decided to give away an iTunes gift card as a prize to the top winner who has the most points. The tournament begins March 18, 2014. Make sure to have your brackets completely filled out before then!

How do you win? It's simple. Fill our your basketball bracket of the teams you think will win each round. The member that has the highest points at the end of the NCAA tournament will win!

I have historically been a very liberal bracket-filler-outer as compared to heartily conservative, play-it-safe souls such as ssj, Spongey, and abney, and I am certain that once my bracket becomes viewable to them on Thursday they will most assuredly ask what freeway overpass I chose to toss my brain over. :D

For one thing, I pick the field over the Kentucky. Yes, I know, I know, I'm crazy. But I do. So let's get that out of the way first.

Sexy first-round upsets I have include Northeastern, Albany, Belmont, Davidson, and Wofford. :D

I also have VCU going a considerable distance, one which they will probably not reach... but cut me some slack. It's the school that gave me life, after all.

(And for newer members I am willing to tell that story again. :P)

My mother was born in Pittsburgh, moved to Washington, D.C. in high school, and wound up attending VCU. My father, then a drummer (why am I saying "then"? He still is), was with the orchestra for a play that was on tour, and this play went to Richmond and to the VCU auditorium. After the show he was hungry so he went over to the VCU cafeteria, where he was awestruck by this beautiful young woman who would become my mother, and decided to go over a couple of tables and strike up a conversation with this studious female student.

And the rest was history...

Virginia Commonwealth University gave me life. :P
